Curvy bookstore owner Amanda Harding doesn’t relish attending her family reunion in Lake Tahoe. She knows that, as soon as she steps off the plane, she’ll feel her parents’ disapproval that she isn’t married with a grandchild for them on the way. Her best friend, Leo Prentice, has the perfect solution. He’ll come with her to Lake Tahoe and pose as her would-be fiancé.
Amanda’s not convinced they could make it look real, so Leo kisses her to prove a point. The kiss changes everything, shedding light on Leo’s desire for her and awakening arousal on Amanda’s part. Sex changes everything, though, and neither Leo nor Amanda want to risk their friendship. But with sexual tension burning red-hot, Amanda and Leo soon find out that best friends can make the best lovers.
There’s no “little” about it – Anne Rainey scintillates in the blazingly sexy A Little Bit Naughty. For me, the “friends becoming lovers” storyline can sometimes be filled with pitfalls, but that’s definitely not the case in A Little Bit Naughty. I loved how great Amanda and Leo were together from start to finish. The feelings between them were always there; the pair just needed that extra “push” Leo’s plan gave them. I devoured A Little Bit Naughty in one sitting and was ready for another read as soon as I finished the first one. This is the first story I’ve read by Ms. Rainey and I know I’ll be coming back for more!
