A Lady's Wish (Rogues of the Sea, #1.5) - Katharine Ashe My review cross-posted from Joyfully Reviewed: http://www.joyfullyreviewed.com/new-reviews/a-ladys-wish-by-katharine-ashe

Years ago, Lady Patricia Morgan spent an incredible day with a man who she only knew as “Tristan.” She fell in love with him that day, but she never had the chance to run away with him as she dreamed. Now a widow with two sons to support, Patricia is on a journey to recover an item her late husband left her. But on the road, she encounters the one man she never expected to meet: Captain Nikolas Acton, war hero, dashing figure…and Patricia’s “Tristan.”

A Lady’s Wish is a gorgeously penned reunion romance that is sure to warm the heart. Katharine Ashe has delivered a charming story filled with love and longing and, quite simply, I adored it. Families, fate, and insecurities kept Patricia and Nik apart when they were younger, but with two such likeable protagonists, you can’t help but devour A Lady’s Wish, wanting them to seize their second chance at happiness.

A Lady’s Wish bridges the gap between Ms. Ashe’s first two Rogues of the Sea novels, Swept Away by a Kiss and Captured by a Rogue Lord. However, A Lady’s Wish fully stands on its own and is a wonderful introduction to Ms. Ashe’s writing if you haven’t read her books before. Still, both heroes of Ms. Ashe’s Rogues of the Seas novels appear in A Lady’s Wish, and I defy you to read A Lady’s Wish and not want to jump into Captured by a Rogue Lord for Alex Savage makes quite an impression.
